Status this week

Tracker v1 is live. The ten workstreams are laid out and the critical path is mapped: BRP → BSN → DigiD → KvK Gloria → daycare contract → KOT → BV payroll → IND submission. The tax-team recommendation is to shift the IND submission to ~10 October for a stronger dossier; Pieter decides by 30 June. Two blockers are open to the tax team (Box 3 toetsingsinkomen; ZZP threshold for IACK) and one to Pieter (route and date of the January 2026 naturalisation application). The May priority is the daycare shortlist Leiden — waitlists are tight, late availability shifts the entire KOT window.

§ 03

Program timeline — phase by phase

May 2026 · preparation

Two parallel tracks: childcare registrations for September start, and confirmation of route and submission date for the January 2026 naturalisation. Determines whether Plan A or Plan B activates on arrival.

June 2026 · structure

Notary passes Holding + Werkmaatschappij. Payroll set up. Share transfer of the 15% Six Degrees stake to Holding by end of June. Determines whether the DGA-salary route or the wealth route leads at IND.

20 July 2026 · arrival

Flight HK → NL, move into Leiden home. Gloria enters visa-free on the Canadian passport (Schengen 90/180). Temporary housing until container arrives. First payroll run Werkmaatschappij targeted 15 July or the week after.

Wk 21–25 Jul · BRP

BRP registration Leiden for the whole family. Document pack: passports, Gloria birth certificate with apostille, property deed. BSN issued for Gloria and the children on the spot. Marriage pulled automatically from NL registers.

Wk 25–31 Jul · portal

DigiD Gloria, KvK ZZP registration, health insurance. DigiD letter ~5 working days post-BSN. KvK appointment in week 28 Jul – 7 Aug. Health insurance for Gloria within the 4-month window. Preparation for KOT application.

August 2026 · childcare + container

Daycare contract signed; LRK number documented. Container arrives 8–12 weeks after HK departure; unpack and delivery to Leiden. Preparation for childcare start 1 September.

September 2026 · ramp-up

First childcare month. KOT application via Mijn Toeslagen within 30 days. First monthly payment around mid-October, retroactive to 1 September provided the application is timely. Kinderbijslag SVB checkpoint end of September.

~10 October 2026 · IND

Recommended submission date for the strongest dossier: three payslips in hand, wealth statement available, BV-issued declarations supported by statutes and KvK extract. IND processing 90–180 days.

Q4 2026 · wrap-up

Residence document type I (5 yr) collected at IND. Driving-licence conversion CA → NL via CBR (185-day deadline post-BRP). DUO inburgeringscursus enrolment if Plan B path activates.
